In short, we want to transform the insurance landscape, beginning with our first foray into pet insurance for dogs and cats. Role and responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified insurance Business Development & Customer Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be pivotal in nurturing our business development initiatives and ensuring our customers receive the utmost care and support. You will support the customers’ satisfaction and loyalty, while also participating in the strategic expansion of our business. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that values creativity, empathy, and the power of innovation to make a real difference in the lives of policy holders.

Customer Care (40%): Be the heart and voice of our company, addressing customer inquiries, solving problems, and building lasting relationships based on trust and understanding.

Business Development Support (40%): Play a key role in identifying new opportunities, supporting our growth strategies, and crafting messages that resonate with our target audiences.

Administrative Support (20%): Take charge of essential administrative duties, including database maintenance to keep our records accurate and up-to-date, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

About you

Qualifications and education requirements

  • Qualified member of “Berufsbildungsverband der Versicherungswirtschaft“ (vbv) who is allowed to act as a tied insurance professional in Switzerland (people who are near qualification or can articulate their path to qualification will also be considered)
  • 2-5 years in customer service or business development (Applicants with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply, as alternative roles may be available.)
  • Proficiency in English and German are a must (French and Italian are advantages)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
  • A good taste for graphics and an eye for detail will set you apart.

Role and responsibilities

As a developer and technology analyst, you will contribute to the startup inception. You will have autonomy alongside the CEO and CTO to shape and execute of the development plan.

To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll also need experience in developing and implementing tech strategies and solution architecture. You will stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the rapidly evolving Large Language Models (LLMs), constantly seeking out new ways to add value to our customers.

In addition to be an integral part of the company’s management team, you will be expected to:

  • Contribute to our strategy and architecture design for our technology and data platform
  • Participate to the selection of tech and LLM solutions
  • Develop the technological infrastructure and platform
  • Work with external IT/Data science consultants
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity

Qualifications and education requirements

  • You are motivated to join an early-stage start-up and thrive in ambiguous, fast changing environments
  • You have 2+ years experience across software development and solutions architecture
  • A previous experience in a startup would be a plus
  • University degree in computer science/ computer engineering or a similar field
  • You have a good understanding of capabilities and limitations of Large Language Models (LLMs) and are able to manage consultants in this space
  • You have the ability to manage people effectively (internally and externally)
  • You are a self-starter, problem solver with a pragmatic mindset
  • You speak English fluently

As the CTO, you will have the opportunity to create the company’s technology strategy. You will shape and build-up a talented team of tech and data professionals. As the venture is still in its inception, it will be your decisions that pave the way to its success.

You will have full autonomy alongside the CEO over the roadmap and execution of the initial investment. You will work together to set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy from launch to scale, including long-term goals and driving growth, profitability and company value.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong strategic and commercial mindset, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll also need a proven track record in developing and implementing tech strategies and solution architecture. You will stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the rapidly evolving Large Language Models (LLMs), constantly seeking out new ways to add value to our customers.

In addition to be an integral part of the company’s management team, you will be expected to:

  • You have a good understanding of capabilities and limitations of Large Language Models (LLMs) and are able to manage consultants in this space
  • You have strong project management skills with the ability to manage people effectively (internally and externally)
  • You are a self-starter, problem solver with a pragmatic mindset
  • You are an effective leader, a good team-player and have an eye for hiring right talents
  • You are able to manage budgets effectively
  • You speak English fluently
